I accepted my position on the WCU Murray MSC board in loving memory of Chris. I believe Chris had an amazing untold story inside of him that, due to his early death, he could not fulfill. I am convinced that this scholarship corporation and what it represents can and will build a lifetime legacy in honor of Chris.

Education is important to me because I believe that knowledge is power! While knowledge is not necessarily knowing everything, it does provide you insight about recognizing when something may be wrong when you are looking at it.
Why do I choose to be a Board Member on the WCU MSF? Because I share the fundamental belief of the Foundation that “Everyone Deserves a Chance”. On a more personal side, it is in Memoriam of my nephew Chris; whom I still remember seeing a young man that had recognized and jumped the hurdle of not just being an Adult but a Man!

When I think about education, I think about how proud Chris was of all of his family that acheived educational milestones at all levels of education. Chris and I would constantly discuss his dreams to conitinue his education in order to acheive his own personal educational milestone. As the chairperson of planning, I plan to put forth my best effort to assist the Founder in making sure that the Foundation is around for years to come so that anybody who wants to acheive an educational milestone will have the asisstance they need to do so, thus living out the dreams of Chris and continuing to make him proud.
