ELIGIBILITY 

 

Instructions: Before submitting your application, be sure to check for eligibility, and ensure that all submission requirements are enclosed.

Eligibility Requirements:

(1) High School Graduate/GED

 

(2) Grade point average (2.0-3.5 GPA)  

 

(3) No criminal background, or  

 

(4) Where applicable three (3) letters of recommendation    

     proving with a reasonable degree of certainty reformation

Submission Requirements:

(1) Completed Application  

   

(2) Sealed Official Transcript   

                  

(3) Where applicable: Notarized GED Certificate

      

(4) Personal Statement:   

     Your Personal Statement/Essay should be a minimum of           250 words on the following topic: “Why I Should Be              Awarded A WCU Murray Memorial Scholarship.”        

                  

(5) Letter of acceptance from school attending     

           

(6) FASA/FAFSA Report       

 

(7) Where applicable: three (3) letters of reformation

     (Letters of reformation must be mailed directly from       

     individuals recommending)

Submission: Early Bird October 15th of each year. 

 

Deadline: No application will be accepted after February 15th of each year. 

 

Note: All required application materials: sealed official transcript, essay, and letters of recommendation received after February 15th will be considered late, and will invalidate your application.
